This page is dedicated by RDI to record the management of knowledge about the earthquake that occurred on November 21, 2022, in Cianjur Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The earthquake with a magnitude of M 5.6 at a hypocentre of 10 km occurred at 13:21 UTC+7. The epicentre is located at -6.84 Lat 107.05 Long (BMKG, 2022). The shallow earthquake inflicted casualties and injured the population near the epicentre. Based on recent information retrieved from West Java Government, there were at least 162 casualties, 326 people injured, and around 7,000 persons were displaced. The earthquake triggered landslides in many areas, blocked main roads, and damaged bridges and public facilities Based on a report from BNPB, the earthquake damaged: 3,167 houses, 47 public facilities, and two bridges. BMKG reported, at least 117 aftershocks were recorded until 06.00 UTC+7 on 22 November 2022 with a magnitude range from 1.5 MW to 4.2 MW. We are provided with a steady stream of data, thanks to our on-site partners involved in the region, which we are trying to process and describe to inform readers about relief efforts, damage to communities, cities and districts, as well as evaluation of rehabilitation and reconstruction and progress at the moment.

This page is dedicated by RDI to record the management of knowledge about the earthquake that occurred on November 21, 2022, in Cianjur Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The earthquake with a magnitude of M 5.6 at a hypocentre of 10 km occurred at 13:21 UTC+7. The epicentre is located at -6.84 Lat 107.05 Long (BMKG, 2022). The shallow earthquake inflicted casualties and injured the population near the epicentre. Based on recent information retrieved from West Java Government, there were at least 162 casualties, 326 people injured, and around 7,000 persons were displaced. The earthquake triggered landslides in many areas, blocked main roads, and damaged bridges and public facilities Based on a report from BNPB, the earthquake damaged: 3,167 houses, 47 public facilities, and two bridges. BMKG reported, at least 117 aftershocks were recorded until 06.00 UTC+7 on 22 November 2022 with a magnitude range from 1.5 MW to 4.2 MW. We are provided with a steady stream of data, thanks to our on-site partners involved in the region, which we are trying to process and describe to inform readers about relief efforts, damage to communities, cities and districts, as well as evaluation of rehabilitation and reconstruction and progress at the moment.
Our findings are expected to shed light on how various public sectors are affected, the urgent needs of those currently displaced, how to mitigate and reduce the impact of future disasters, and what we need to be aware of in emergency response settings. These findings will be published on our website as additional information for individuals and institutions involved in earthquake relief and response efforts.

The earthquake with a magnitude of M 5.6 at a hypocentre of 10 km occurred at 13:21 UTC+7. The epicentre is located at -6.84 Lat 107.05 Long (BMKG, 2022). The shallow earthquake inflicted casualties and injured the population near the epicentre. Based on recent information retrieved from West Java Government, there were at least 162 casualties, 326 people injured, and around 7,000 persons were displaced. The earthquake triggered landslides in many areas, blocked main roads, and damaged bridges and public facilities Based on a report from BNPB, the earthquake damaged: 3,167 houses, 47 public facilities, and two bridges. BMKG reported, at least 117 aftershocks were recorded until 06.00 UTC+7 on 22 November 2022 with a magnitude range from 1.5 MW to 4.2 MW. We are provided with a steady stream of data, thanks to our on-site partners involved in the region, which we are trying to process and describe to inform readers about relief efforts, damage to communities, cities and districts, as well as evaluation of rehabilitation and reconstruction and progress at the moment.
Our findings are expected to shed light on how various public sectors are affected, the urgent needs of those currently displaced, how to mitigate and reduce the impact of future disasters, and what we need to be aware of in emergency response settings. These findings will be published on our website as additional information for individuals and institutions involved in earthquake relief and response efforts.

This page is dedicated by RDI to record the management of knowledge about the earthquake that occurred on November 21, 2022, in Cianjur Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The earthquake with a magnitude of M 5.6 at a hypocentre of 10 km occurred at 13:21 UTC+7. The epicentre is located at -6.84 Lat 107.05 Long (BMKG, 2022). The shallow earthquake inflicted casualties and injured the population near the epicentre. Based on recent information retrieved from West Java Government, there were at least 162 casualties, 326 people injured, and around 7,000 persons were displaced. The earthquake triggered landslides in many areas, blocked main roads, and damaged bridges and public facilities Based on a report from BNPB, the earthquake damaged: 3,167 houses, 47 public facilities, and two bridges. BMKG reported, at least 117 aftershocks were recorded until 06.00 UTC+7 on 22 November 2022 with a magnitude range from 1.5 MW to 4.2 MW. We are provided with a steady stream of data, thanks to our on-site partners involved in the region, which we are trying to process and describe to inform readers about relief efforts, damage to communities, cities and districts, as well as evaluation of rehabilitation and reconstruction and progress at the moment.
Our findings are expected to shed light on how various public sectors are affected, the urgent needs of those currently displaced, how to mitigate and reduce the impact of future disasters, and what we need to be aware of in emergency response settings. These findings will be published on our website as additional information for individuals and institutions involved in earthquake relief and response efforts.

This page is dedicated by RDI to record the management of knowledge about the earthquake that occurred on November 21, 2022, in Cianjur Regency, West Java, Indonesia. The earthquake with a magnitude of M 5.6 at a hypocentre of 10 km occurred at 13:21 UTC+7. The epicentre is located at -6.84 Lat 107.05 Long (BMKG, 2022). The shallow earthquake inflicted casualties and injured the population near the epicentre. Based on recent information retrieved from West Java Government, there were at least 162 casualties, 326 people injured, and around 7,000 persons were displaced. The earthquake triggered landslides in many areas, blocked main roads, and damaged bridges and public facilities Based on a report from BNPB, the earthquake damaged: 3,167 houses, 47 public facilities, and two bridges. BMKG reported, at least 117 aftershocks were recorded until 06.00 UTC+7 on 22 November 2022 with a magnitude range from 1.5 MW to 4.2 MW. We are provided with a steady stream of data, thanks to our on-site partners involved in the region, which we are trying to process and describe to inform readers about relief efforts, damage to communities, cities and districts, as well as evaluation of rehabilitation and reconstruction and progress at the moment.
Our findings are expected to shed light on how various public sectors are affected, the urgent needs of those currently displaced, how to mitigate and reduce the impact of future disasters, and what we need to be aware of in emergency response settings. These findings will be published on our website as additional information for individuals and institutions involved in earthquake relief and response efforts.
