Danang Azhari also better known as Dana, is a researcher and deputy program manager of Resilience Development Initiative (RDI), a think-tank institute based in Bandung, Indonesia. He is 23 years old with a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning. Dana dedicates his research projects on the topics of Disaster and Climate Resilience (DCR) and Regional and Urban Policy (RUP). Currently, he is doing some research projects on Disaster Management, Disaster Displacement, Sustainable Business, COVID-19 Policy and Governance, Public Acceptance, and Climate Change Adaptation, including Nature-based Solutions (NbS). These projects come from various funders, like GNDR, GCRF, and Royal Academy of Engineering, UK. He has a huge interest in sustainable and resilient development with exposure on climate and disaster risk, risk governance, environmental justice, and urban social sustainability, including gender equality and inclusivity. As his bachelor thesis used dynamic system model approach, He also has interest in urban planning model.
He's passionate about what he's done, and always has a steady source of motivation that drives him to do his best. Naturally an enthusiastic person with detail‐oriented and good analytical skill. Actively participate in organizations and events. Always look out for opportunities to go extra miles in order to enhance skill and grow professionally.
