On May 19th 2017, Ramanditya Wimbardana, as RDI researcher, received the Best Thesis Award from the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University at Buffalo, New York for his research entitled: The Role of Transnational Municipal Network in Building Institutional Capacity for Governing Low Carbon Development in the City of Bogor, Indonesia. Prof. Robert Shibley, the Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning, gave the honor to him during the school`s commencement in front of 250 graduates and hundred guests. Awards were presented by academic leadership in the school and professional organizations in the the Western New York. Ramanditya is the only international student from the department who secure one of special awards from the Dean. In the graduation ceremony, he is also among four students from the Master of Urban Planning program who earned the student academic excellence in the department.
