Final File of the Roadmap for the 2022-2024 Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) Program – Safe School

On November 23^rd , 2020, RDI participated in the Discussion Meeting on the Finalization of the Roadmap for the 2020-2024 Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) Program which was organized by the Directorate of Community Education and Special Education, Ministry of Education and Culture. The Discussion Meeting was done to integrate reviews and inputs from all authors and stakeholders into the final file of the roadmap. The discussion went smoothly and everyone, including RDI, has given their reviews and inputs to finalize the roadmap.

On January 15, 2021, the final file of the Roadmap for the 2022-2024 Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) Program Safe School was finally released. It already contains all the reviews and inputs from authors and stakeholders, including RDI. The final file has also been officially signed by the Ministry of
Education and Culture and by the Head of the Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB). The final file can be accessed on RDI's website and social media pages.

The direction of the development and target of the SPAB program in the next 5 years has been outlined in the final file of the Roadmap for the 2022-2024 Disaster Safe Education Unit (SPAB) Program. It is hoped that this roadmap has already accommodated all of the available resources in Indonesia in order to make the education units capable of implementing disaster safe unit program, so that the people in the education units can be able to understand disaster risk, are protected from the adverse effects of disasters, and can provide education services even in a disaster emergency situation.
